Efficient use of fuel: ensured by the fuel-efficient and reliable Euro VI engine. With the standard PowerShift Advanced automated transmission, you drive confidently and with foresight. Proximity Control Assist also supports a relaxed, safe and economical driving style.
Engines for distribution haulage.
Euro VI engines are specifically designed for your distribution transport requirements. They offer engine outputs of up to 220 kW (299 hp) and a maximum torque of up to 1,200 Nm. A total of seven Euro VI engine variants are available, which can be combined with a wide range of manual and automated transmissions depending on the performance category. That enables precise adaptation to your requirements.

In the Atego, you can drive however you like: the PowerShift Advanced automated transmission ensures precise gear selection, short shift times, high driving comfort and a smooth ride. If desired, there’s also a truck with manual transmission and pneumatic shift assistance. The Atego also features a well-thought-out storage concept that brings order and clarity to the cab. And of course you also have a good overview on the road: with a reversing camera, the area behind the vehicle becomes visible.
High-quality interior design.
Standard air-sprung seats with climate control, versatile multimedia use and a cockpit to suit your taste: for the interior of this truck, there are numerous configuration options.
Classic Cockpit, Comfort Cockpit and Standard Cockpit: the choice is yours. Even in the Standard Cockpit, everything is within easy reach, from cup holder to socket and storage compartment. In the Classic Cockpit, the full range of equipment is ergonomic. An ashtray and a cigarette lighter with socket function are also part of the equipment. The Comfort Cockpit has additional storage space. If desired, even more storage space can be created under the dash with a protruding shelf.
Here, you sit comfortably: the controls are intuitively arranged, the seat cushions are especially wide, and the adjustment range is particularly ample. The standard suspension seat is air-sprung and has a soft fabric cover. An air-conditioned suspension seat is also optionally available.
Whether it’s traffic reports or your favourite music: your radio infotainment system makes every trip easier. If desired, equipment for multimedia use, such as commercially available navigation systems, phones or MP3 players, is also available. The voice output is delivered by the vehicle’s speakers.
Safety
Attentive helpers on board.
Driver assistance systems like Active Brake Assist 6 or Active Sideguard Assist 2 provide extra safety in city traffic – when turning at complex intersections, manoeuvring, in stop‑and‑go traffic and where every yard counts.
Active Brake Assist already fulfils the AEBS (Advanced Emergency Braking System) legislation, which will come into force in September 2028. The 270‑degree fusion technology features enhanced reality capture. This enables the system to react even faster to critical situations. As a result, greater accident prevention can be achieved for vehicles up to 90 km/h as well as for pedestrians and cyclists up to 60 km/h. The system now also clearly indicates if it is not yet fully active.
The advanced, second generation of Active Sideguard Assist can support drivers across the entire speed range when changing lanes or turning with restricted visibility. What’s more, the two-stage warning system can alert drivers to potential hazards so that, by intervening in good time, they can defuse a critical traffic situation.
Front Guard Assist can increase driving safety even before you set off: it monitors the traffic area in front of the vehicle and supports you in the speed range up to 15 km/h, e.g. when the vehicle is stationary, when moving off or at junctions. If the system detects moving objects in front of the vehicle, such as people, the warning system can help you react in good time with a two-stage hazard warning.
Attention Assist 2 can help to prevent accidents in the event of driver inattentiveness or fatigue by means of visual and acoustic warnings. Using an integrated camera, it records the driver’s visual attention based on their viewing angle as well as the driver’s level of fatigue. All data remains inside the vehicle.

Mercedes‑Benz Trucks Uptime checks the status of many of your truck’s systems when it is started up. It can identify critical states – and sends predictive repair and maintenance instructions. This allows you to react faster and avoid predictable breakdowns as much as possible. Downtimes are reduced. And so are associated costs.

Warranty
The warranty for countless scenarios.
In addition to the 12 month warranty with unlimited mileage for the complete vehicle, the extended Mercedes-Benz Trucks warranty extends to 36 months for parts of the drivetrain. It covers parts groups in the engine, transmission, drive shaft(s) and drive axle(s) up to a maximum of 250,000 km depending on the type of use.
